Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has endorsed the probe of the suspended Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance, Prof. Usman Yusuf, who has been accused of fraud to the tune of N960m.
The message was conveyed in a letter signed by Osinbajo’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Ade Ipaye, which was addressed to the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole.
In the letter with reference number SH/OVP/DCOS/LGR&C/FMOH/113 and dated July 10, 2017 (three days after Yusuf’s suspension), the acting President asked the minister to take ‘necessary action’ against the suspended NHIS boss who is also being investigated by a Senate ad-hoc committee.
