The Convener of Alliance for New Nigeria, Dr. Jay Osi-Samuels, said it was due to the selfishness of some of the country’s leaders that Nigeria had remained underdeveloped and poor for many years.
In a statement, Osi-Samuels also said the reason why many Nigerians had remained in poverty was because the “selfish” leaders had ruled the country in dishonesty and promoted their own interests above those of the citizens.He said, “All Nigerians want now is a sincere person who will lead the way and they are ready to follow. Running a nation is not rocket science.
“What works in other countries has not been working here because successive leaders over the years have been dishonest and promoting their own interests above the general interest of the country.”
