A civil society group, Centre for Anti-corruption and Open Leadership (CACOL) has called on the federal government to strengthen the anti-graft agencies to keep the ‘heat’ on public officers who loot national treasury.
The group made the call through a statement signed and issued by its Media Coordinator, Wale Salami, on Monday.
According to Salami, the recent exposure of looted funds achieved through the work of the various anti-corruption agencies in the country reveal the depth corruption has eaten into the fabrics of the Nigerian society especially among elected and appointed public officers.
