N963.7m refund: Court dismisses convicted oil marketer’s application

Justice Lateefa Okunnu of a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja on Wednesday struck out an application filed by a convicted oil subsidy fraudster, Rowaye Jubril.

Jubril had sought a stay of execution in the judgment of the court compelling his company to refund N963.7m oil subsidy money to the Federal Government.

Justice Okunnu, in a judgment delivered on March 16, 2017, convicted and sentenced Jubril to 10 years’ imprisonment.
