N450m fraud: Belgore gets court’s permission for Kenyan trip

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Dele Belgore, who is being tried for an alleged fraud of N450m, on Thursday, got the court’s nod to embark on a trip to Kenya for a conference.

Justice Rilwan Aikawa, in a ruling, ordered the Deputy Chief Registrar of the Federal High Court in Lagos to release Belgore’s passport to him to enable him to embark on the trip.

The SAN had deposited the passport as part of the bail conditions granted him by the court.

The judge noted that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission did not oppose Belgore’s application for the release of the passport.
