‘Lagos education investments more than four states’ budgets’

The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has said that more than N200bn was allocated to the education sector in the 2016 and 2017 budgets.

He said the amount was more than the annual budgets of four states.

The governor, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. Adesina Odeyemi, said this during the grand finale of the eighth edition of the Governor’s Quiz Competition for schoolchildren.

While Eko Junior College, Agege, emerged in the first position in the junior school category, pupils of Lagos State Model College, Kanko, emerged in the first position in the senior school category. In the primary school category, pupils of Darocha Primary School carried the day.
