The Senate ad hoc committee investigating allegations of corruption and misconduct by Senator Isa Misau against the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, will sit on Tuesday.
The Chairman of the committee and Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Francis Alimikhena, made this known to journalists in Abuja on Sunday.
He said the panel would make the next move after Misau had appeared before it to make his presentation.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, had set up the ad hoc committee to investigate Misau’s allegations against Idris, while the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions was mandated to probe into the controversy surrounding the lawmaker’s disengagement from the Nigeria Police.
