Corruption: Buhari hailed for signing extradition pact with UAE

The Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay, and the Chairman, Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership, Mr. Debo Adeniran, have hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for signing an extradition treaty with the  United Arab Emirates that will enable the country to bring looters back to the country to face prosecution.

President Buhari had on Thursday signed an extradition pact with the UAE to strengthen the Federal Government’s anti-corruption war.

The implication of this agreement is that the Federal Government will henceforth be able to extradite and prosecute Nigerians who stashed stolen wealth in the UAE.
