The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmud Yakubu, has said that the commission will not allow the collection of the Permanent Voter Cards by proxy.
Yakubu expressed concern over the slow distribution of the PVCs during a meeting with state resident electoral commissioners and administrative officers in Abuja on Tuesday.
He had said in a meeting with the media on Monday that the commission had not distributed 7.8 million PVCs from the 2015 elections and ordered immediate distribution of the uncollected PVCs.
