A former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, has filed a 100m suit against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission before the Federal High Court in Lagos, over what he termed an unlawful seizure of properties belonging to him and his family members.
Obanikoro sued alongside his wife, Moroophat, his sons Gbolahon and Babajide, and daughter-in-law, Fati.
They are, through their lawyer, Lawal Pedro (SAN), seeking a court declaration that the EFCC grossly violated their fundamental rights by forcefully seizing their properties in June 2016.
