The Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday dismissed a fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by wanted former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemulopo, alias Tompolo, to challenge the N45.9bn fraud charges filed against him.
Justice Mojisola Olatoregun dismissed the suit for lacking in merit.
Tompolo had, in the suit filed through his lawyer, Mr. Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, sought to restrain the Federal Government from further pursuing the criminal charges filed against him before Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court in Lagos.
