A former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Doyin Okupe, may face conspiracy charges after new revelations emerged in the ongoing investigation into the arms scandal.
A source at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, which is investigating Okupe for receiving N100m from embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), said the anti-graft agency was making new discoveries that contradict his claims.
For instance, the source said it was discovered that Okupe received N15m from the account of Destra Investment Limited, a company owned by the immediate past National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh, who is on trial for allegedly receiving N400m from Dasuki.
