$17bn stolen crude: Chinese firm denies DPR’s $2.6bn claim

The House of Representatives has uncovered more crude oil transactions in excess of $2.6bn, which the committee alleged looked suspicious.

It involves the Oil Mining Licence 130, which the House says has the same lucrative value as the controversial OML 245, better known as ‘Malabu oil deal.’

Its ad hoc committee, which is investigating the alleged export of $17bn worth of undeclared crude and gas resources, uncovered how a Chinese firm was used to lift crude from the field with the approval of the Department of Petroleum Resources.
