The immediate past Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, has called on Nigerian youths to emulate a former President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Dr. Dipo Fashina, in their efforts to move the nation forward.
He said this on Tuesday at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife during the public presentation of a book titled, ‘Perspectives on Dipo Fashina’s scholarship, activism and ideology,’ to celebrate the 70th birthday of Fashina who is popularly known as Jingo.
Jega, who showered encomiums on the celebrant, said he learnt a lot from him during their time as ASUU leaders, saying the youths needed to emulate the virtues of selflessness, courage and honesty from the man he described as an icon of struggle.
